DU POLITICS Politics is an essential part of the DU culture. Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley, Shashi Tharoor, Rahul Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Sheila Dikshit, Sachin Pilot. What ties them together is not only the field of politics but also the common place of study “delhi university”. Student elections in DU are often a mirror image of the real elections. The two major associations of this politics are ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad), which is affiliated to the BJP and NSUI (National Students Union, India), which is affiliated to Congress There are four major positions —  President, Vice-President, Secretary and Joint Secretary.  Two Councillors are also elected from each college as their representatives. As it barely comes as a surprise, this politics in the field of education has also shown its dark side, quite a many times in the past.  Severe crimes have been linked with the agenda to obtain a seat.

Blue whale 'The Suicide game'-Banned

•In response to the recent ban announced by the Indian government on the Blue Whale suicide challenge, Microsoft India is already gearing up to enforce the ban and an official announcement can be expected very soon. •The Ministry, led by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, had recently issued instructions to internet platforms, including Google India, Facebook, WhatsApp, Yahoo India, Instagram and Microsoft India, to identify and immediately remove links to Blue Whale Challenge and all other similar games. •The order points out that the action on the part of Google, Facebook etc is called for since "the administrator of the game uses a social media platform to invite/incite children to play this game, which may eventually lead the child to extreme steps for self-inflicting injuries, including suicide."
