The southern portion indeed has become a platform of famous Delhi University Colleges so have a  look at top 10 famous colleges of South Campus


1) Lady Shri Ram College-

The best arts college of the country  but also ranked no 2 for commerce and also for Mass Communication.But it's also famous for star studded cultural festival TARANG, the modernity combined wiry huge success makes its the first option for female aspirants.


2) Sri Venkateswara College

Located at heart of south campus,  leading college in Science, Arts& Commerce.The special feature is reservation only for those who fit in central Obc list and one of co-ed college to renovated hostel so another college that is popularly known as Venky a second most brilliant option.


3) Jesus and Mary College


Located in diplomatic area of Chankayapuri, a only girls college is a treat for Christians as it provides 50 percent reservation to them and has no affiliation with DU so it has its own online application system.


4 )Kamla Nehru College

Leading commerce college,  a girls college portraying spirit of independence and strives for empowerment of young women established in 1964


5 )Gargi College

One very favourite for girls again offering courses in Arts , Commerce,  Science and elementary education.
It prides itself on being one of the only two colleges to be awarded along with upgraded infrastructure. Ranked 7 in department of Science  .


6)Delhi College of Arts and Commerce

Its holistic professional approach in its teaching pattern has established DCAC as one of the most desirable colleges in South Campus. Another interesting fact about the college is their quarterly magazine Rhapsody, a student’s initiative.


7)Shaheed Bhagat Singh College

was established in 1967 with its current premises at Sheikh Sarai. The college is named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh, an Indian freedom fighter who believed strongly in social justice. The college is known for its Commerce department. SBSC is ranked amongst the top colleges for commerce in the country.


8)College of Vocational Studies

Located in the heart of Sheikh Sarai II, CVS was built in 1972. It was built to encourage higher vocational education as compared to the traditional educational courses. Although it began with courses in French, German and Spanish, the college now also offers higher education in the streams of liberal arts and commerce.


9)Atta Ram Sanathan Dharma College

Build  in 1959 and is located in the Dhaula Kuan area of South Delhi. Apart from offering courses in the arts, commerce and science streams, the college is also known for its dramatics society. ‘Chalo Dilli’ a play by the dramatics society recently gained a lot of appreciation making the college proud.


10)Maitreyi College

Built in 1967, named after a Vedic sage, Maitreyi College is an all women’s educational institution and offers courses in arts, science and commerce streams. The college has been recognised by DBT as a star college.
