Delhi University's Dyal Singh Evening College renamed as 'Vande Mataram Mahavidyalaya'

The Governing Body of DSC has passed a resolution to change the name of the erstwhile evening college to 'Vande Mataram'. 
It has also been decided to make the former evening college a regular shift one, and both the colleges will be functioning from the same campus simultaneously.

The General Body passed the decision on making the evening shift as regular college. It has been renamed as Vande Mataram College. This step will help all the students in the evening shift,” Amitabh Singh, chairman of the general body told Hindustan Times.


The college's principal said that the name was an inspiration for many during freedom struggle and hence it will inspire the students.
