PADMAVATI - "More than just a movie"

After the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) in the UK cleared Sanjay Leela Bhansali's perfect work of art, 'Padmavati' without any cuts, the Rajput Samaj propelled a blacklist against the release of the film there. The Samaj has likewise supposedly kept in touch with the Board to renounce its confirmation for the film to prevent its release in Britain too.

As indicated by the reports in PTI, the Leader of the Rajput Samaj of UK, Mahendrasinh Jadeja, was purportedly of the view that the film 'Padmavati' mutilates their history, culture, and conventions.

This is probably one of the ugliest turns that any protest against a film has ever taken. In a recent development on the ongoing ‘Padmavati’ row, a dead body was reportedly found at the gate of Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur with a terrifying note.
According to reports, locals reportedly informed the police about the body found near the main gate of the Nahargarh Fort, which is one of the tourist attractions of the Pink city. The police are yet to find out the exact cause of the death. The body has not been identified as well. A chilling note was also seen scribed on a rock nearby.

A lot has been going on over the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Padmavati’, with the film being banned in five states in India amid numerous threats and debates over its content.

Also B-town celebrities came out to support PADMAVATI. Aamir Khan and SRK come in support of Deepika Padukone.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles, has been making headlines ever since its announcement.
Padmavati’ has been under the scanner since its inception. It has been subjected to vandalism, flak and now the release has been postponed. Amidst all the tension building up around the film, lead actor Shahid Kapoor is calm and rather positive about the release of the film.
