TOP 10 girls colleges of DU

The University of Delhi, informally known as Delhi University, is a collegiate public central university, located in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly.

1. Miranda House

Miranda House is a residential college for women, is one of the premier women's institutions of the University of Delhi, India. It was established in 1948. Miranda House offers degrees in the sciences and liberal arts. The College was rated as the best college in India in National Institutional Ranking Framework for year 2017 Mirandians are bold, brilliant and inspiring. They change the world and the way we think about it.

2. Lady Shri Ram College for  Women


Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) is a constituent women's college of the University of Delhi for Social Sciences, Humanities and Commerce. It is a prestigious and well-known arts and commerce college, and it has been ranked 1 in Arts and Education, 2 in Commerce and 3 in Mass Communication by India Today.




3. Indraprastha College for Women


Indraprastha College for Women also known as Indraprastha College or IP College is the oldest women's college in Delhi. Established in 1924, it is affiliated to University of Delhi. The college offers graduate and post-graduate courses in Liberal Arts, Commerce, Literature, Computer Science, Mass Media & Mass Communication and is among the prestigious colleges of India.

4.Daulat Ram College 


Daulat Ram College (DRC) is a women's college under University of Delhi that was founded in 1960. Originally called Pramila College, it was named Daulat Ram College after educationist Daulat Ram Gupta. 

It is the only North Campus College which avails Honours in Psychology. 



5.Jesus and Marry College


Jesus and Mary College (JMC) is a premiere women-only college affiliated to the University of Delhi located in New Delhi, India.The college awards bachelor's degrees in commerce, arts and mathematics. The college offers honors degree in : Elementary education, History, Sociology, Political Science, Hindi, English, Economics, Psychology, Math and Commerce. 




6. Gargi College 


Gargi College is one of the colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi. It was established in the year 1967 and offers education in Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Science and Education for women. 

Gargi has been ranked 22nd among Art colleges of India according to the India Today Survey and 7th in the Department of Sciences.

7. Kamla Nehru College


Kamala Nehru College is located at the August Kranti Marg, New Delhi. It was established in the year 1964 and is affiliated to University of Delhi. In 2013, the college ranked 26th in arts colleges and was also rated under top 40 commerce colleges in India by India Today.


8. Maitreyi College


Maitreyi College is a college in the South Campus of the University of Delhi, located in Bapu Dham, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi,India. It was established in July 1967 and named after the Vedic sage Maitreyi. An all-women's college, it offers various courses in the fields of science and arts. The college was recognised by DBT as a star college, conferring the star status to all four of its science departments.

9. Janki Devi Memorial College


Janki Devi Memorial College is one of the prestigious and premier women's college of University of Delhi. The college is located at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi. The college was established in the year 1959 by Shri Brij Krishna Chandiwala in the memory of his mother Smt. Janki Devi. 

10. Kalindi College


Kalindi College is located East Patel Nagar. The college is affiliated to University of Delhi. The College has come a long way since its inception in 1967 and is now seen as a destination where students can embrace their future with hope and confidence. Years of hard work put in by all stakeholders show us the way forward.
