1.Inquest Paper Presentation

If your thoughts keep you awake and culminate into several sleepless nights, if your head is brimming with questions pushing the frontiers of your knowledge, if you want to work on building your traits of resilience, communication, and creativity and independent thinking, moulding yourself into the person you would like to be, then you are at the right place.

Inquest Paper Presentation competition under Colloquium'20 - The Debating and Literary Fest of NSUT provides a platform to enthusiastic students from institutions across the country to present their innovative ideas in the form of papers.

In the preliminary round, the teams will be required to submit an abstract on the theme provided. The shortlisted entries will qualify for the finals and shall present their paper to an esteemed panel of judges on campus.

Theme: Economics, Finance and Statistics

RULES:
1. A team of 3 participants (Cross college teams are allowed, and only undergraduates can participate) can register themselves at:

2. After registering, you are required to send your abstract.
Following are rules for abstract submission:
- Word Limit: 500 words
- Send us your submission at colloquium.paperpresentation@gmail.com
- Deadline for BOTH registering and sending abstracts is 8th March
- Format of the abstract: Body of the abstract should be in Times New Roman Size 12.

3. Top Teams will be then selected to present a paper of 4000-5000 words at our on-campus finals.

4. On-campus finale will require you to send your paper latest by 12th March 23:59 to be analysed by a prestigious panel of judges and further the teams will be required to give a small presentation during the on-campus round too. Thus, the judging criteria will be based on both.

The On-Campus Round will be held on 14th March.

2.Netaji Subhas Memorial Conventional Debate  


The Debating Society of NSUT(formerly known as NSIT) is proud to present the 7th edition of Netaji Subhas Memorial Conventional Debate, which is open for NSUT students as well.

The event will be a Turncoat and is to be held on 13th March 2020, as a part of Colloquium - NSUT's Annual Literary and Debating Festival.

The tournament is open for participants of all academic backgrounds and years of academics.

The rules of the debate are as follows:
1. Only individual participation is allowed.
2. The speaker will begin speaking for the motion and switch his/her stance on a tap by the judges.
3. The speech has to be for a total of  3+1 mins. 3 mins of speech and 1 min of cross-questioning by the judges.
4. The speech should be in English, bilingual speeches will not be permitted.

There is no dress code.
Kindly reach the college premises by 10AM.
Respect the views of your opponents and kindly do not use provoking remarks.
Decision of the judges will be final and abiding.

3. In Case You Can


Colloquium, the annual debating and literary festival of NSUT present it's annual flagship Case Study Event: "In Case You Can", giving an opportunity to test your complex problem solving aptitude and brainstorm to find the best solutions for them.

"In Case You Can" takes you to the combative business scenarios and crisis, allowing the participants to do an in depth research using qualitative and quantitative tools to investigate underlying principles of an occurence within a real life context

Get ready to face real time business problems and become the ultimate problem solver!

The event will commence in two rounds:

Round 1

This is the ONLINE preliminary round. The registered team is sent an interactive corporate Case Study along with the problem statement and and required data of the company in consideration. The team is required to send in a synopsis of the problem statement and their case solution within a stipulated amount of time to be considered for the next round.

Round 2

The top few teams will be shortlisted for ON CAMPUS event on 15th March 2020, to be held at Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Dwarka. On the basis of the synopsis of the problems and case solutions presented by each team, they will be invited to present the same on stage before the esteemed panel of judges

4) The case shall be released on 1st March 2020
5) The last date to submit synopsis is 7th March 2020
